MENOPAUSE AT WORK COURSE

Online Menopause and Work course provides awareness training for all staff about this natural stage of life, and its possible impact in the workplace.

Menopause is a natural part of the ageing process for half of the general population, but its symptoms and potential effects are often poorly understood.  Menopause can have a significant impact on all aspects of life, including work.

This 30 minutes online training course provides the information staff need to understand this natural stage of life, helping them to:

  • plan for, or manage, any symptoms they might have
  • interact with others sensitively and kindly

In turn, this helps organisations to:

  • properly support affected employees, their line managers & colleagues
  • meet their legal responsibilities in relation to health, safety and employment law
  • create and maintain a positive culture of understanding and support
  • retain staff
  • plan for, and meet business objectives

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this Menopause and Work training, learners will be able to:

  • explain what the menopause and perimenopause are
  • summarise the most common perimenopausal symptoms
  • describe how symptoms can affect individuals, including at work
  • explain relevant UK health, safety and employment law
  • describe measures organisations can take to support staff

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This Menopause and Work training course has been designed as awareness training suitable for all staff, regardless of sex, gender or age.  It will be especially useful for line managers as a tool to help them support employees who might be experiencing symptoms which affect their work.
