Designated Safeguarding Lead Course (online)
The Echo3 Designated Safeguarding Lead course is delivered fully online and equips learners with the essential knowledge and skills to carry out the role of a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL.
As the first point of contact for safeguarding and child protection concerns within your setting, a DSL plays a critical role in ensuring that all staff understand their responsibilities and consistently follow best practice.
The course covers key legal duties and effective responses to safeguarding concerns, while also developing the leadership skills needed to foster a strong safeguarding culture across your organisation. You will learn how to support and supervise staff, implement safer recruitment practices, and continually reflect on and improve safeguarding standards to ensure the highest level of protection for those in your care.
This Designated Safeguarding course is Level 3 meaning it is designed for supervisors and managers. For staff we offer Child Protection for those working in Scotland and a Safeguarding course for the other home nations England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
